THE APPROACH

With the logo finalized, I turned my attention to the smaller details. We added a Bayahibe Rose in honor of the Dominican Republic’s national flower, an endemic and endangered species. I named the cap “1106” after November 6, 1844, the day the Dominican Republic’s name and flag became official for the first time. Finally, I created the brand name SUSTANTIVO, the Spanish word for “noun,” because the project was inspired by the people, places, and things of the Dominican Republic.
