I directed, edited, and designed titles for this music video, a project that came together almost overnight. On a Wednesday, DP Alejandro “Hondro” Ramos called to say he had a specialty lens for the weekend, and since I happened to be in Atlanta, the timing couldn’t have been better. With no time for heavy logistics, I chose the Noguchi Playscape at sunrise, a single location that solved light, composition, and production constraints all at once.
The setup was minimal, but the images were rich. And yes, the giant cookie in the video was completely real, sourced from a bakery in Georgia with a specialty for oversized desserts. Andy Mineo stars, with color and additional editing by Jonny Clay and production support from Blaine Taylor. A small crew, perfect light, and one very big cookie, sometimes that’s all it takes to make something special.
